Fee Bay Increases Fees for Store Owners
Really the PITS!
It is really sad to read the Store Boards on eBay. So many people who have invested time and money to get a business started and their dreams have been turned upside down with a flick of a switch.
The sad situation is horrible for those folks who have done this for years or use eBay to put food on their tables. Many Moms who are the sole support for their families are depressed and searching for a new venue to put their products on.
Folks who already have a low profit margin will be effected the most. People who sell items for less than $20.00 to $25.00 are leaving in droves.
I guess this happens fairly often since eBay does pull some weird things like a few months ago most store owners were happy with sales because when a buyer searched for an item store inventory was shown. Sales were great! Then they stopped. Of course sales went down. Then they made lots of promises that store inventory would be in eBay Express, well they did - but what a flop! OK next promise, eBay express would put on a big Back to School campain. Well they might but now store goodies will be behind auction format BUY IT NOW's. Then they top it off with increasing fees for store owners. YIKES!
For me, a small timer, I guess I'll wait and see! It was fun but just a hobby.
If you collect items that usually run under $20.00 now is a good time to shop at eBay since lots of folks are clearing out inventory.
